  • What does amaHalo stand for?
    'ama' is the short form of amateur, and 'Halo' means a circle of light. We provide solutions for decorative light without much knowledge of circuitry design.
  • Where are you located?
    We are located in Hong Kong. All orders will be shipped from Hong Kong.
  • What is your working hours?
    We are open from Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1800, except public holidays. You can expect our response within 24 hours on working days. However, we accept orders 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
  • What is the currency of listed price?
    All the listed prices on our website are in USD.
  • Do you accept business order?
    Yes. Please contact our sales team (info@amahalo.com) or send us an inquiry in the Contact section.
  • Do I need to be a member to place the order?
    Yes. You can simply login with your Google or Facebook account without creating a new account by email.
  • Do you accept international orders?
    Yes, we accept international orders. Please check this list to find out all covered countries. If your country is not listed, please send us your inquiry. Our sales team will try their best to help you.
  • Which payment methods are accepted?
    We accept payment by most recognized credit/debit cards. Payments are made via the secure Stripe payment gateway.
  • How long will the order take to be shipped?
    The order will be sent to the courier or delivery agent within 3 working days after order confirmation or payment is complete.
  • Do you ship order to my country?
    Please check this list to find out all covered countries. If your country is not listed, please contact us. Our service team are happy to assist you anytime.
  • How will my orders be delivered?
    For domestic orders (Hong Kong), the delivery will be handled by SF Express. For international orders, the delivery will be handled by e-Express, air-registered mail, speed-post, and surface-registered mail, depending on the availability of their service in different countries. All of them are the posting services of the post office. A tracking number will be provided after the shipment is sent. For regular orders, we recommend using e-Express or air-registered mail to handle your order. For bulky orders (say, 4 kg or more), we recommend you try Speed Post. In some cases, they are cheaper than e-Express or air-registered mail and provide faster service. We also provide surface registered mail service, which is the cheapest of all. However, delivery usually takes over 3 months, and the risk of a parcel lost is high. So, we recommend using it as your last choice.
  • Why is the delivery charge of my order quoted as USD 999.00?
    It is because the total shipment weight (including the shipping packaging) exceeds the postal limitation. (Usually at 2 kg) Please reduce the quantity of your ordered items and split your order. In case you still have problems placing the order, please contact us for assistance.
  • How I can trace my order?
    The shipment tracking number will be provided to you by email after the order is sent, along with the URL of the tracking service.
  • Do you have any limitation on shipping address?
    We can only ship to geographical addresses. PO Box, BFPO addresses and other virtual addresses will not be accepted.
  • How long it takes to get my orders?
    For domestic orders, it usually takes 2–3 days to receive the orders. For international orders, it varies depending on the destination and the delivery service. You can check this list to find out the approximate shipping time.
  • For international orders, do I have to pay for the customs fee?
    International orders may be charged a customs fee. You are responsible for these customs fees. Please contact your local customs office for more information. The shipping charges you paid to amaHalo only cover the delivery cost.
  • Is power adapter needed?
    You need a 5V/2A USB type-C adapter to power up the display case. * For environmental protection purposes and to avoid creating electronic waste, there is no power adapter bundled with the package. However, the required USB-C adapter is very common, just like the adapter used by smart phones nowadays.
  • Can it work with a power bank?
    We cannot guarantee that it works with all different kinds of power banks, even if they have a 5V/2A rating. From our experience, some old power banks may have strange responses. However, you can give it a try. It will not cause damage to either the display case or the power bank.
  • What is the size of CA-101
    The dimension of the display case is 247 x 125 x 138 mm, or 9.3" x 4.9" x 5.4" (LxWxH). The display area (inside the clear acrylic panels) is 230 x 108 x 110 mm, or 9" x 4.3" x 4.3" (LxWxH).
  • Can I stack up the display case?
    Yes. We have reserved a mechanism to stack up the display cases.
  • Is assembly required?
    Yes. You are required to assemble 5 clear acrylic panels.
  • How many LED modules can be supported?
    Theoretically, it can support unlimited LED modules simultaneously when there is enough space.
  • What is the LED module dimension?
    The dimension of module body is 5.4 x 6.2 x 6.8 mm, or 0.21" x 0.24" x 0.27" (LxWxH). The dimension of LED is 2 x 1.2 x 0.8 mm, or 0.078" x 0.047" x 0.032" (LxWxH). The length of extension wire is 10 cm.
  • Is DIY needed?
    You don't need to do anything to light up the LED modules. Simply put the LED module on the powered display case, and it will light up immediately. However, you need to DIY to install the LED modules in your scale models or ornaments. It requires certain skills and tools to achieve. Please check out our demos to learn more.
  • Can I place the LED modules close together?
    It is recommended to reserve a little space (~5 mm) between each installed module. Putting them too close together may affect the inductive performance and dim the LED.
  • What should I note when installing the LED module?
    Place the module body in an upright position related to the display case. To get the best inductive performance, the coil of the module body should be in parallel with the coil of the display case.
  • Can I bend the extension wire?
    Yes, you can bend the wire and fix it at a particular angle. The extension wire is an adjustable, hard enamel wire.
  • Is there a different color of LED with a different brightness?
    Yes. The white and blue LEDs emit a brighter color. The green LED stands in the middle. The red and yellow LEDs are dimmer in comparison.
